Brazil
Tourists, especially the young set, love to go on holiday trips to Brazil because of the exotic flavour this country offers. Brazil is a land of beaches, colourful festivals and spectacular natural wonders that will truly delight anyone on a holiday trip to the country.
Brazil, however, is a very big country. If you are going to Brazil and your time for your holiday trip is a little limited, here are four cities you should not miss on your holiday trip to Brazil.
Rio de Janeiro. A Cicade Marvilhosa, The Marvelous City, never fails to inspire wonder among tourists on a holiday trip to Brazil. This is the city famous for its beaches, particularly the Copacabana and the Ipanema, for the samba and the Bossa Nova, for the Carnival and for the gigantic Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the city. Rio is a marvelous city, and should top the itinerary of any holiday trip to Brazil.
Sao Paulo. The fashionistas will be quick to note that Sao Paulo is one of the most important centers of high fashion in the world. It is the hometown of so many supermodels, so it is no surprise that the semiannual Sao Paulo Fashion Week is a major crowd drawer to the city. This is something that a person going on a holiday trip to Brazil should not miss. Also, Sao Paulo is the site of one of the world's biggest gay pride parades, something definitely worth seeing on a holiday trip to Brazil.
Salvador. There are three reasons why Salvador should be included on the itinerary for any holiday trip to Brazil. Reason number one is the beaches. Salvador has the longest coastline in Brazil, with waves much loved by surfers. Reason number two is Pelourinho, the cultural center of the city. This is where the cultural past of Salvador, and of Brazil in general, can be glimpsed. Reason number three is the Carnavale. The Carnavale in Salvador is the biggest street party that happens every year in the world.
Recife. Recife is fondly called Veneza Brasileira, the Venice of Brazil, because it is surrounded by rivers and connected by bridges. It is just as lovely and as romantic as its European counterpart, perfect for couples on a holiday trip to Brazil. Recife is one of the cultural centers of Brazil, and it is vibrant with color and life.
