Bolivia is a landlocked country in central South America. It is bordered by Brazil on the north and east, Paraguay and Argentina on the south, and Chile and Peru on the west.

In a country so blessed with natural wonders such as Bolivia, where should you go and how best can you enjoy these wonders on your holiday trip?  Here are some places that you should see when you go on a holiday trip to Bolivia.

Lake Titicaca.  Lake Titicaca is the highest lake in the world that is commercially navigable.  It is also the largest lake in South America.  Why should you go to Lake Titicaca on your holiday trip to Bolivia? The view across the lake's waters is simply marvelous.  Shrouded by mist and a source of many myths, the lake seems full of mystery and romance.

The Amazon.  The largest remaining tropical rainforest in the world touches a portion of Bolivia.  The jungles of the Amazon hold their own mystery. In Bolivia, you can explore the mysteries of the Amazon with a guide, by going on a hiking trip through the forest or going on a canoe ride.  The many species of flora and fauna that you will find in the Amazon Rainforest will keep you fascinated for the entirety of your holiday trip in Bolivia.

The Salar de Uyuni.  The Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the entire world, and it is located in the Potosi and Oruro regions of Bolivia.  If you want to see something unique on your holiday trip in Bolivia, go to the Salar de Uyuni and see how salt is extracted there.  Halite and gypsum are also found in the Salar de Uyuni.  Also, the Salar de Uyuni is the breeding ground of three different species of flamingos.

The Pantanal.  If you fancy some more wildlife explorations than what a trip to the Amazon can give you on your holiday trip in Bolivia, go to the Pantanal.  The Pantanal, which is a wilderness of marshes and wetlands, appeals to many wildlife enthusiasts because of the many species of birds to be found there.  In the Pantanal can be also be found crocodiles, anacondas, piranhas, and others.

If you want a touch of the natural and the wild on your holiday trip, go to Bolivia.
